MESA Re-Organises Membership Under CDSA

MESA has announced that beginning July 1, it will cease as a member organisation with current members and communities becoming part of the Content Delivery and Security Association (CDSA).

MESA’s founder and president/ceo Guy Finley thanked his current (and former) members, “Your support and ingenuity is what helped make MESA great. I’m so very proud of the brands we built and what we achieved during the 15 years we worked together innovating and transforming our industry. More significantly, CDSA was founded in 1970 by my grandfather, Larry Finley, and I want to honour him and this move helps preserve my family legacy.”

Richard Atkinson, president of CDSA, welcomed the transition. “CDSA will continue to have a specific focus on content-related security, but adding MESA’s existing content-delivery councils and working groups (localisation, data, supply chain) will allow those communities to get closer to security issues, against a backdrop where everyone has very common needs around things like AI that are dramatically impacting our industry. This eliminates the confusion between MESA and CDSA across our communities regarding which entity to engage and how they relate and brings more member companies into the CDSA communities.”

As a result of this transition on July 1, MESA’s editorial team will cease to publish the M+E Daily, M+E Europe, and other MESA branded newsletters. More details on upcoming events and working groups meetings will be announced through the CDSA newsletter as the Association prepares for the CDSA Summit at IBC.

The 100 person event will be held on Friday, Sept. 13th at the W Hotel and the networking reception to follow on Dam Square at Café Zwart.
